A fantastic antique album cover. With a wonderful decoupage of lilly of the valley to the centre. It has stunning mother of pearl inlaid details and gilt decoration. The ebonised base is mounted on wood. This was once a book cover or photo album and dates from the first part of the Victorian period. It now is a lovely plaque which can be proped on a shelf or mantle. A fabulous period piece, perfect to incorporate into a modern interior to add soul and character to a space.
Condition
Areas of missing gilt and mother of pearl detail. One corner is missing where the wood is now exposed. Internal lining distressed and taped. Shows lots of signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
