A fantastic antique shop cabinet. Made from mahogany and dates from the late Victorian period. Consisting of a bank of 26 drawers and with glass display section to the top. The glass display area is opened to the front with two original brass pull handles. Many of the drawers are lined with a blue baize. The bottom section of drawers have wonderful brass shell cup handles and the top small brass knobs. This is a rare piece and was either used in a shop for display and storage, or in a museum for displaying and catatlogue specimen samples. This is a truely stunning cabinet and ideal for storage and display of unique collections or heirlooms. Adding soul and character to any modern space.
Condition
Some historical repairs to display frame to glass sectiom, please do refer to photos. Sides and back are made from pine. Drawer sides and base are made from pine. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
