A fantastic Victorian hat mould. The beech wood has a stunning deep warm hue and was used as it is ideal for steaming fabric and wool. It has a pointed crown and shows lots of wear to the surface with small pin marks. To the side is carved 22 1/5 to the wood.
This stunning hat block would have been used in a haberdashery or millinery for display and hat making. With lots of signs of use and a wonderful timeworn patina. These are getting rare to find as stainless steel moulds are now used within the industry. Perfect for display or to stage a favourite hat or wig. Adding soul and character to a modern interior.
Condition
Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.
