A fantastic antique cushion mirror. Dating from the middle of the 19th Century around 1850, so is Napolean III. This stunning wall mirror is made from repousse brass and has the most wonderful putti decoration, where they are holding a laurel wreath. To each corner also is the head of a classical figure. There are areas of missing repousse but it only adds to its charm. The mirror sections are all original and have foxing in places. The brass work has been painted with a brown black stain. A fabulous period mirror, perfect to incorporate into a modern interior to add a burst of personality and soul.
Condition
Missing decoration in places. Replacement sections. Additional brackets have been added back for strenght. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
