A fantastic set of three antique bound book. Dating from 1711 and 1712, these three books are of 'The Spectator'. A weekly political and cultural journal publication. These are volume 3, 4 and 5, and were part of a larger collection. These books have come from the personal library of Frances Dickonson. They have the previous owners library plate with family crest. Published in London by J and R Tonson, and S Draper.

They are really very old and show there age. With split spines and boards which have been damaged and repaired. They have wonderful marbled pages to the front and back. A fabulous rare set, perfect as a gift to any collector, or to read and enjoy.

Condition

Bumped corners and spine. Foxing to some pages. Spilt spines, boards have become removed and reattached back. Shows lots of signs of wear and tear as they are old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.

Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.
