A fantastic and rare antique very long pull out chart. Titled "A Chronological Chart, Syncronistically and Ethnographically arranged" by Edward John Ensor, Milborne, Somersetshire. Its shows a detailed timeline of history from the start of the bible through to the end of the 19th Century when the chart was made, in 1880. With the bible as the main point of reference for early history.
This is a rare museum quality piece and is absolutely fascinating. We have made wooden mounting blocks so that it can be rolled out. It has its original wooden batons to either end and would have been used as a teaching aid. Along the top are metal ringed holes for wall mounting on hooks for extra stablility. We can only find one other copy which is in a museum. A fabulous rare piece. Perfect to incorporate into a modern interior to add soul and character to a space.
Condition
Some areas of damage and distress, especially at the beginning. With several historical repairs. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.
