Here for sale is a fantastic leather ammunitions case stamped to the underneath with No 56 and BH&G Ltd. The Maker Barrow, Hepburn & Gale of Bermondsey through a series of mergers came to be one of the largest leather companies in London. The company history goes back to 1760 when John Hepburn set up this first tannery in Bermondsey. The Barrow, Hepburn and Gale company was formed through mergers in 1920. This must therefore date after this date.

A beautiful decorative item full of history, with a wonderful patina to the leather. Perfect for as a gift or a stunning interior display piece.

Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
