A fantastic converted antique clocking in machine or time recorder. Made by The International Time Recording Company, which was founded in the late 19th Century. This time recorder dates from 1888.
With glass shelves added to the interior for use as a cabinet. This cabinet would make a fantastic cocktail cabinet! It would originally have been used in a factory where the arm would be moved to select the number for each worker to stamp time entered and exited.
The clock could be converted to analogue but does not currently work so for display purposes only. We have removed much of the internal workings in order to add the glass shelves. It is a much used cabinet, which is timeworn but only adds to its charm. A rare and quirky piece, perfect to add personality and character to any modern space.
The veneer to the interior floor is lifting. The doors are stiff and can be closed fully but are then difficult to open so for practical use shouldn't be closed fully. Lots of sign of its industrial use! Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
