A fantastic antique ships gimbal light. Marked by the maker, Perry of Birmingham. Richard Perry & Sons were based in Wolverhamton, England. Perry made much of the lighting for the White Star Lines steamer ships. A renowned maker who worked with Christopher Dresser on serveral pieces. A gimbal light was designed to be wall mounted and to stay upright as the ship travelled on its journey. We love the simpe classic design and heavy brass, of this piece. Dating from the early part of the 20th Century. It can be table mounted to. A fabulous period piece, made by a famouse maker. Perfect to incorporate into a modern interior to add soul and character to a space.

Rewired using gold braised flex. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.

Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.
