A fantastic antique watercolour. Signed by the artist, R J Lugg. Robert James Lugg (1877 - 1951) was a painter of moorland scenes. This example is labelled to be 'near Sheepstor, Dartmoor'. Lugg lived in Okehampton, where he kept a studio and gallery. He sold many of his pieces to tourist. This is a wonderful example with heather in the foreground and beautiful brook. Mounted in a simple gold painted wooden frame. A fabulous period piece of Dartmoo, Devon. Perfect to add soul and character to any modern interior. 
Condition
Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
