A fantastic set of leather cased antique silver plate beakers. Would have been used as a travel set for sport or a campaign piece. There is space in the case for the beakers and a bottle of drink (no bottle included). 
The underside stamped with R&B with S, EP and a fleur de lys along with a genie lamp. These are the marks of Roberts and Belk who were formed in 1863. This set dates from the early 20th century. 
The beakers are heavy with silver plate and gilt to the interior. the leather case is good quality leather with a hole in the base. The top is fixed by a popper button on each side and can only be loosened not removed to prevent loss. A fabulous period set, perfect for any collector or to use and enjoy.
Condition
Much of the gilt interior has worn away. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
