A fantastic pair of antique books. Titled Sans Famille by Hector Malot. This French novel was originally published in 1878 and means 'without family' in English, This edition is undated. In two volumes bound in half leather and marbled boards. The leather spines have lovely gilt embossed titles and details. With several black and white illustrations. There is an inscription dated 1921. Both volumes are worn and used but adds to there charm. Perfect for any collector or to read and enjoy.
Bumped corners and spine. Foxing to some pages. Scuffs to spine and wear to marble. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
