A fantastic antique glazed cabinet Datind from the Art Nouveau period around 1890. Made by renowned craftsmen Shapland and Petter, of Barnstable, Devon. Henry Shapland started the business in 1850. He was joined latter by Henry Petter. The company produced high quality hand made pieces. This example has the most exqusite inlaid panels with mother of pearl and fruitwoods, such as pearwood, applewood and satinwood. The cabinet is made from mahogany. The doors have wonderful stained glass panels. It has its original working key and lock. Internally, the back and shelves are lined with watered silk. This is an exceptional piece made by one of the leading makers of this period. It would make a stunning addional to any modern interior to add soul and character to a space. 

Condition

Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
