A fantastic antique shipping measuring bar or beam. Made from heavy brass and stamped with a weight measuring ruler. At one end is stamped '20 CWT x 7 LB'. The term CWT is a abbreviation for hundredweight, where the C is the latin for Centum, or 100. This sort of measure was used for bulk shipping volume or calculating freight rates.  A salvaged piece which was part of a much larger sey of scales. A unique piece, perfect to incoporate into a modern interior and use for a qurky use! 
Condition
Super heavy!Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
