A fantastic antique travel trunk. Made from canvas with beech bentwood strapping. With original brown leather handles to both sides. There are some lovely original travel labels. This is a much loved trunk and has been on some fabulous adventures. Dating from the 1920s to 1930s they were used to travel on steamer ships across the Atlantic, which was the height of fashion during this period.  
The muted green canvas and brass lock gives it real character. These types of trunks make wonderful coffee tables or storage boxes at the end of a bed. A fabulous period piece, perfect to incorporateinto a modern interior to add character and soul to a space. 
Condition
Back hinge to lid is damaged and has a historical repair, it really dosen't effect its use. Staining to canvas. Internal tray is damaged. Shows lots signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
