A fantastic antique steamer ship swivel chair. It would originally have been secured to the floor in the dining room on a large ship. The ships were built to impress with opulent decoration hence the quality of the wood and heavy cast iron base. 
The chair is made from mahogany and cast iron. The seat has been recovered in soft black leather. The swivel mechanism works perfectly and the chair stands without being secured so would make a lovely desk or occasional chair. A stunning period chair with lots of history. Perfect to incorporate into a modern interior to add soul and character to a space.
Condition
Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
