A fantastic antique tabacco jar. Dating from the end of the 19th century. These types of jars were used in shops for display and the storage of tabacco. Made by Price of Bristol, from stoneware pottery. The Price pottery has origins back to 1796. This piece is rather distressed which much of its original paint missing. We think it adds to its charm. A fabulous period piece, perfect to incorporate into a modern interior to add a burst of personality and soul.
Condition
Much of paint missing and distressed to front. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
