A useful antique filing cabinet. Made from oak with the makers mark to the lock. We can't seem to find out much about 'Sytam system'. This is a quality piece, with tambour front to close and panelling to top and sides. It was probably part of a larger filing system used by barristers and offices during the 1920s. There are three pigeon holes to the top and two working drawers. One has a faux front. The drawers take a 8 x 5 index card. A stunning and useful piece. Perfect to incorporate into a modern interior to add soul and character to a space.
Condition
No key. One of the the drawers has a false front. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.
Dimensions
77.5 cm width, 81 cm depth, 48 cm height
internal drawer - 20.5 cm by 14 cm or it takes a 8 x 5 index card
