Price is for each bench.

Here for sale is a fantastic metamorphic school bench coverting in to a desk or table. 2 available. Price is per bench.

These benches were found in a chapel in Bedfordshire that in the 19th century had been the village school which opened in the 1850's. The benches have cast iron legs with Sidebotham Patentees on one side and Blackfriars, Manchester on the other. The cast work is magnificent. As is the pitch pine plank seat and table/ back rest. 3 positions possible - bench, table, and desk. 2 back to back make a fantastic table with 2 benches.

Amazing examples of Victorian industrial engineering. Beautifully made and very useful.

Amazing condition for age. One of the benches has some historical wood worm holes. One of the benches does not have ink wells.  Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.

Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.

276 cm width, 69 cm depth as table and 59 cm as bench, 42 cm seat height, total bench height 88cm total table height 74 cm.
