Here for sale is a fantastic set of five antique apothecary bottles. These bottles are 19th century (Victorian or earlier) with hand blown glass. The bottoms have a “pontil scar” where the pontil was broken from the blown glass. In these cases the bottles would have been made by skilled glass blowers using techniques that would have been in use from the 18th Century.

The bottles and jar bear latin inscriptions of their contents. The pharmacist would need to know the meaning of these and use their handbooks of “materia medica” to keep up to speed with contents.

All stoppers have no nibbles and the glass jars are in great condition which no cracks or chips.

The original labels shows lots of wear but adds to their charm. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.

We are a family company and love sourcing unusual pieces which bring a burst of individual style to the most modern of interiors, creating interiors with soul!
