A fantastic antique frying pan or skillet. Made from heavy copper and stamped with orb and cross for Benham and Froud. The firm adopted the orb mark after constructing the replacement cross for St Paul's Cathedral in 1821. They were based Chandos Street, London between 1855 to 1924. This pan has a lovely heavy wrought iron handle with hanging hole and is attached to the main copper body with copper rivets. The pan is lined. The copper has a wonderful warm hue and tone. A fabulous period piece, made by a renowned maker. Perfect to incoporate into a modern interior to add soul and character to a space.
