A fantastic antique mirror. This absolutely stunning mirror is of grand proportions and a real statement. Made from carved wood and painted gilt gesso and has a muted colour. We have sourced this fabulous bevelled mirror from a manor house in the Peak District. It is the original plate and backing board and dates we believe to the Victorian period around 1870. It is very heavy and can be mounted on a wall as there are hanging brackets each side, alternatively it is just wonderful to lean against a wall. The perfect piece to add to a modern home to add depth and soul to any interior.
Condition
Some loses to the gilt paint in places and nibbles to frame. Light wear to original mirrored plate. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
