Here for sale is a fantastic antique leather case by Samuel Fisher of the Strand London.
Fisher was established in around 1838 at 188, the Strand. See the photo of his shop. The firm sold all kinds of items including billiard tables and, clearly leather ware. Fisher was trading at this address up the late 19th century. This case dates from some time in this period.
It is a fabulous high quality case, with beautiful leather and original brass fittings. It is a wonderful good sound condition with some wear as would be expected for an item of this age . It has the original tray internally which is in good clean condition. Overall, a stunning piece of travel history, perfect for storage or add soul to a modern interior.
Signs of its travels and adventures. One of the handles is split and should not be used to carry. It does not affect the appearance, but beware. Join at the back has tear at one end. General wear to leather in places. Keys are not present.
Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.
