A fantastic antique Victorian portfolio stand. Wonderful rare English mahogany and leather stand. With articulated brass legs that fold to form legs to support the open folio. Demonstrates the Victorian invention combined with the elegance of the period.
Portfolio stands are used for storing collections of art. The folding brass legs allows one side to be held horizontally so items can be more easily viewed.
With depository label for White & Co Ltd.
With battered leather, this is a rare piece that is full of character.
Condition
In unrestored condition with splits in the leather and the missing lock catch. Shows lots of signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.
