A fantastic antique mirror. In a lovely Regency style and made from gilt painted gesso mounted on a wooden base. The mirrored plate is bevelled and original. A stunning mirror with a lovely muted colour and in a classic design, dating from the end of the 19th century. The delicate frame is adorned with wonderful swags, ribbons, bows and harebells. The centre crest to the top is a fabulous small Regency urn. The frame to the mirror has a lovely egg and dart moulded detail typical of a Recency period. A fabulous example of a period mirror, perfect as part of a gallery wall or to add soul and character to a modern interior.
Condition
Loses to gesso in places, with wire exposed. Some cracks to gesso. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
