Here for sale is a fantastic antique silver plate teapot. It is stamped to the bottom with the initials WC, for William Chawner II. William Chawner founded the company in 1815 and died in 1845. His widow Mary carried on the business using a different mark. Therefore we can date this teapot between these two periods.
It has a wonderful engraved and elegant body of wreaths and swags. This teapot has a wonderful hand engraved design and is perfect for interior styling or upcycle as a vase or to store candles.
Tarnishing to outer body and with the odd dent but really is a beautiful decorative piece. Shows lots of signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
