A fantastic antique chair. Made from walnut with a cane seat and back rest. These types of chairs where made by famous makers such as John Carter and Leveson & Sons of London. This example does not have a makers mark. They were made during the First World War to carry wounded servicemen, sometimes out in the field. A super quality piece with brass fittings and casters. The chair can be lifted like a sudan chair. The carry arms fold down at the back when not in use, one handle is missing. A set of cushions has been made at a later date for comfort.

Condition

Handle missing from one of the carry handles to the back. Cane is sound. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.

Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.

Dimensions

52 cm width, 92 cm depth, 84 cm height

seat height with cushion - 43 cm
