A fantastic antique easel. Made from oak and with ivorine plaque to the back for the maker, Winsor and Newton Ltd, London. The company was founded in 1832 by William Winsor and Henry Newton. This is a super quality large artist's studio easel. With worm screw mechanism to the reverse for raising the level of the picture/ canvas. Standing on original castors and has a fantastic stablising mechanism to the front with turned wood handle.  
Still with splatters of paint from the artist, this is now a fantastic decorative item that could be used to display a painting as a real statement piece. When raised to its full height this is a very imposing piece. Very heavy and sturdy so would suit a heavy painting. Perfect for a gallery or a quirky stand for a TV. Perfect to add soul and character to any modern space.
Condition
The top mechanism for clamping the picture is missing. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
