A fanatastic original apothecary bottle. Embossed to the base is the mark for the 'York Glass Co'. The York Flint glass company was set up in 1835 by Joseph Spence. They specialised in medical and pharmacy measuring vessels. The York Glass Company who operated in the latter 19th century/ early 20th century and would have made these bottles on a large scale as demand grew through the industrial revolution. It has the most stunning vibrant green colour. The stopper is not original but fits the neck and has a ground base. Perfect for staging in a bathroom or kitchen to add personality and soul to an interior.
Condition
Not original stopper Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
