Here for sale is a fantastic antique taxidermy of a Canary. The bird is set on a small branch and a nod to its natural habitat. Canaries were first bred in captivity in the 17th century. They were brought over by the Spanish sailors to Europe. This bird became expensive and fashionable to breed in courts of Spanish and English kings.
This beautiful bird has a wonderful vibrant colour and is just stunning in the black edged glass case (the edging is black tape). Perfect to add soul to any interior to enjoy.
Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.
