Here for sale is a great original vintage set of four chemist bottles. All are from Stotherts Ltd, Atherton. R.Stothert's & sons Ltd (later Stothert's Ltd) was originally a company of chemists founded by Richard Stothert (1830-1912) in Atherton, Greater Manchester. They were renowned for its range of medicines and beverages. The company was managed by Maxwell Harwood Stothert in the 1940s. In the late 1960s after 120 years of business the company was absorbed into A.G. Barrs of Glasgow.
Some contents still remains in the glycerine bottle, please do not use!. Corks are stuck in top and partly broken off. Makers name of glass bottle is stamped underneath one of the bottles. These fabulous shop display bottles are fabulous to style on a bathroom or kitchen shelf.
Condition
Staining to Some marks and scratches as it is old and has been used, buy only adds to its character. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
