A fantastic antique stoneware pot. Printed with the original contents for 'Virol' to the front. Virol is a red bone marrow extract and was first made in 1899 by the Bovril company. It was originally designed as a nutritional supplement for infants. This example has a crisp clear type. This would have been sold in a an apothecary or pharmacy. The typography and design to the front is iconic and perfect to use in a modern home to add soul and character to a space.
Condition
Blemish to pottery at back. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.
