A fantastic antique apothecary travel box. A hand turned treen case carved with the initials 'WDH', which we assume is for the original owner. Dating from the 19th Century. The box contains three small porcelain crucibles, two are stamped 'Royal Worchester England'. One of the crucibles is a sieve. There are two glass vessels, one a measuring flask. There is also a small mortar made form oak. All the pieces fit inside the carved travel case. Probably used by a travelling doctor or chemist to make tincatures or herbal remedy. A rare and interesting piece, perfect for any collector or ideal as a gift.
Condition
Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
