Here for sale is a fantastic antique servants bell chamber or butlers call box. This superb example dates, we believe, from the early part of the 20th Century and would have graced the servants quarters in a grand country house. Linked via wire to each room, when called the room indicator would show the room and bell sound. We have not tested this and are selling as a decorative item, these look equally fantastic in a grand country house, in a town house or modern interior. Made by W. Parsons of Kendal, giving a clue to the location.
Condition
Some historic splashes of paint to wooden case. Wear to gilt painted glass. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.
