A fantastic antique scales weight. Made from cast brass and stamped by the maker, W & T Avery. They were originally established in 1730, and later named W & T Avery in 1818. This larger weight is 7lbs and would have been used by a grocer's shop to weigh produce. It is also stample '63' to the base. A lovely period piece, perfect to incorporate into a modern interior to add soul and character to a space. 
Condition
We have only given it a light clean. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
