A fantastic antique heavy cast iron table base with reclaimed marble top. The black painted cast iron base has two ornate cast ends united by a banded stretcher. Dating from the late 19th or early 20th Century. The marble top is not fixed to the base and is a salvaged piece from a washstand. The Carrara marble is white with a beautiful grey vein. There are four small holes to the top where it most probably once had an upriser. A stunning salvaged piece that could work equally well inside or outside. Adding soul and character to any modern home.
Condition
Four holes are drilled to the back of the top. The long side of the table top is rough and there are nibbles to the underneath. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.
