A fantastic antique writing table. Made by W. Priest of Blackfriars, London. Super quality Mahogany Library table dating from the early part of the 19th century. Rectangular top with inset leather and two drawers over octagonal tapering legs. Each drawer is  stamped W Priest 17 & 24 Water St Blackfriars. Dating from circa 1820. 
W. Priest is recorded as trading between 1837 and 1840 and based on the items surviving with his stamp, was a supplier of high quality furniture from the 18th Century and early 19th Century. One of the drawers has a sliding pen tray, it does have a side missing. A fabulous period piece, perfect to incorporate into a modern interior, to add soul and character to a space.
Condition
Replacement leather top. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
