A fantastic antique original watercolour painting. Sign by the artist, J. Shapland. John Shapland (1865 - 1929), was a renowned artist of South West seascapes and coastal scenes. He exhibited at the RA, Paris Salon and USA. He was the principle of the Exeter School of Art, from 1899 to 1913.

This example is the Cornish coast with the Longships light house, in the distance. The iconic lighthouse is visible off the cost of Land's End. It is in a simple period oak frame. A stunning coastal painting produced by a known artist. Perfect to incorporate into a modern interior to add soul and character to a space.

Condition

Some foxing to paper. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
