Here for sale is a fantastic Antique 19th Century Silver Merchant Chest. With a plaque for H.W. Burgess and various labels showing the history of the chest through muliple generations. The chest was purchased from the most recent owner in Hertfordshire.

The chest has a double lock. Both keys are present, but the catches for the second lock are broken (could be repaired).

The metal banding is sligtly damaged to the top. Does not effect the function or appearance of the trunk. Very heavy solid item. Top is slightly domed, but can still be used as a table.

Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.

We are a family company and love sourcing unsusal pieces which bring a burst of individual style to the most modern of interiors, creating interiors with soul!
