A fantastic antique photograph Album. Dating from the late Victoria period and with 43 black and white photographs. They include family and school examples. The photographers were Hawks of Plymouth and Geo W. Holden of Birmingham. John Hawks was a prominent Victorian and Edwardian portrait photographer. He was based at 8 George Street, Plymouth Devon. However, George Watkins Holden, was a travelling photographer during this period.
The bindng is embossed leather with brass catch missing. A much loved piece with the leather spine is missing, which doesn't effect it's use. A lovely period piece, perfect for any collector or just enjoy.
Condition
Leather spine missing, lots of wear to covers. Some apertures are empty. Catch missing. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
