A fantastic pair of vintage steel filing cabinets by Roneo of Romford. Roneo began in 1890 as a bicycle manufacture and in the early 20th Century were manufacturing steel office furniture before making armaments in the second world war. 
Each cabinet has the makers mark on the reverse with the GR royal stamp (George V). One is dated 1934. One cabinet also has a paper label, "on his majesty's service". This pair are mounted on hairpins legs to make a useful height for a bedside cabinet pair (heights are slightly different - see dimensions). A fabulous unique bank of drawers, perfect to incorporate into a modern interior to add soul anc character to a space.
Condition
Some drawers stiff to open. Tarnishing to metal in places. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
