Here for sale is a fantastic original anglepoise standard light made by Herbert Terry. The lamp was first designed by George Carwardine. George Carwardine was a British freelance designer specialising in vehicle suspension. We went on to design and manufacure the lamp in his workshop. In 1934 he signed a licensing agreement with Herbert Terry & Sons.
This is a 1950's or 1960's version and is fully marked with the Herbert Terry lamp and is fully adjustable. The top and base is a marriage, where the base is from another source. This is an industrial light and therefore has been extensively used. Great patina and history.
Lots of dents to shade and missing paint, please refer to photos. There are some signs of rust on the springs. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
We are a family company and love sourcing unusual pieces which bring a burst of individual style to the most modern of interiors, creating interiors with soul!
