An exceptional, matching trio of authentic, mid-20th-century industrial marine cargo lights. Priced each with 3 available. Believed to originate from a Cold War-era East German (GDR) merchant vessel, these statement pendants feature an iconic two-tone design with steel tops and massive spun-aluminium lower shades. They have their original glass bases. 
Originally engineered to illuminate open-ocean ship decks and cargo holds, these lights have been meticulously salvaged, professionally cleaned, and fully rewired for modern domestic or commercial use.
At a commanding 51cm in diameter, these lights offer an incredible, oversized visual presence. However, unlike heavy cast-iron or steel fixtures of this scale, their high-grade spun-aluminium construction makes them exceptionally lightweight. They offer the bold look of heavy marine salvage without requiring complex structural ceiling reinforcement. They are ideally suited to be hung as a stunning three-piece feature in a large space. Perfect in a large space such as open plan kitchen or bar.
Professionally rewired with new domestic wiring and standard E27 screw-in bulb sockets (compatible with modern LED vintage Edison bulbs). We have two smaller identical examples available in our online shop.
Condition
The steel has its original wear, but we have sealed to lock in the patina. The aluminium shades have a stunning patina from their maritime use. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
