A stunning vintage gouache pastel. Signed by the artist, Jan Bates. Dating from the 1990s and with address label to the back. Bates was based in Peterborough, Lincolnshire and sold through local galleries. The painting has a wonderful calm atmosphere, with blues and greens, which creats a tranquil feel. The off white mount has hand drawn lines around the aperture. Framed in a simple stained wood frame. A lovely hand painted piece, perfect to incorporate into a modern interior to add soul and character to a space. 
Condition
Small chip to wooden frame. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
