A great set of eight vintage framed prints. All are of different specimens of rose. They are based on original watercolours by the famous Pierre Joseph Redoute (1759-1840). He was the offical court artist for Marie Antoinette. A renowned artist and botanist, this set date from the middle part of the 20th Century. This set of large prints are all printed with his name and with the printer Remond. Framed in a simple gilt frame. A lovely collection of botanical prints, perfect to incorporate into a modern interior to add soul anc character to a space.
Condition
Four of the prints seems to be lighter and may have sun damage. Some have foxing to paper and water damage. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.
