A fantastic vintage storage jar. Stamped by the maker, Moira Pottery. Moira pottery was founded in 1922 and was based in Leicestershire, England. Dating from the middle part of the 20th Century. This kitchen crock is printed with 'sugar'. It has a hand made wooden lid which is not orignal.  Made from salt glazed pottery which has a wonderful rustic farmhouse design. Carry lugs to each side. Really heavy and perfect for storage or display. Adding soul and character to any modern space.  
Condition
Lid not original, does fit but moves around slightly. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
