A stunning antique library table or writing desk. Made from mahogany and rosewood and date from the William IV period around 1835. It has fabulous hand carved large lion's paw feet. The top is inset with tooled leather in a deep brown colour. This is a much loved piece with a great deal of age. The four drawers open on both sides so its really a library piece, and designed to be used in the middle of a room. The writing table is hand made with dovetail joints. It would make the most wonderful desk and perfect for any home office or study. Perfect to incorporate into a modern interior to add soul and character to a space.
Condition
Areas of missing leather to the top. Missing trim to one leg. Trim missing to one drawer, drawers are a little stiff. Crack to top. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.
