A fantastic antique Victorian Canterbury. The ebonised wood is highlighted with gilt and is typical of the Aesthetic Movement style. Complete with stamp for maker or retailer and dated 1887. Appears to read W. Higgins, but is faint. This fabulous magazine rack has its original brass castors and lovely carved design to the top slats. It has a useful drawer to the front with original brass handle. Each corner is topped with a lovely carved finial. This Canterbury is perfect for storage in any home interior.

One divider has been removed at some point in its history. cracking to surface of wood. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
