Antique Georgian Oak Candle Box Case Retailer Daniel Dolley Iron Mong | retrovation
top of page

A stunning antique 18th Century box and possibly used for candles. It has an internal paper label for Daniel Dolley, Ironmonger and Brazier. Records show that Daniel Dolley was in Holborn London from 1768 to 1774 and that Oldham and Dolley Manufactory was in operation at that time.  Amazing item, full of history, perfect for interior styling and storage. The paper label has been covered to preserve it at some point. Part of the label is missing. The hinges have been replaced and the lock is missing.

Condition

Paper label is part missing, replacement handles and missing lock. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.

Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.

Dimensions

44.5 cm width, 24 cm depth, 13 cm height
