A fantastic antique WW2 campaign trestle table. Stamped on the underside H&S Ltd with the mark for the royal warrant for George VI and 1941. We presume that the H&S refers to Heal and Sons who made military equipment in WW2. Made from stained pine.
The table was salvaged from the BRE (Building Research Establishment) formerly the BRS that was founded in WW1 for scientific research and during WW2 was involved in war efforts including the development and scale model testing of the bouncing bomb used in the dambusters raids.
This is a fantastic piece of british history and great vintage display piece perfect for merchandise in a shop or for a home interior.
Condition
Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character. Great decorative item which would look fantastic in any home or business interior.
Please look at photos closely as they form part of the item description.
